Departure towards the Historic Center of Coimbra, where you can visit places such as the Sé Velha, a Romanesque building considered one of the most important in the country, beginning its construction after the battle of Ourique (1139), when D. Sancho I, who can find the graves of these kings, characterized by being a work of Architectural style Romanesque and Manueline. Pausing at the famous Café de Santa Cruz, inaugurated on May 8, 1923, it was news in all the periodicals of the time. Next to the famous Ponte Santa Clara, on the river Mondego. You can also visit the Monastery of Santa Clara, also known as the Convent of Santa Clara-a-Velha, located on the left bank of the river Mondego, represents a work of the Gothic style and was the first work of this style in Portugal. For young and old, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Portugal dos Pequenitos, since June 8, 1940, when it was inaugurated. This is a playful and pedagogical park, a space for approaching Portuguese culture. Finally, to end your tour you can visit the famous Ruins of Conímbriga, a place where was the center of the Roman empire in Portugal and which remained inhabited until the end of the ninth century, is one of the largest archaeological sites in Portugal. Also registered as a national monument and located about 17km from the city of Coimbra.
